This multi media piece is Inspired by mylar emergency blankets that covered the floors of migrant holding centers as a result of Zero Tolerance policy (2018).

Mylar blankets are deconstructed and crocheted into a grid, woven with paper, tshirt remnants, and religious ephemera. This piece is meant to evoke the discomfort experienced by anyone separated from family.
